Overview
LetsCode (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates AI Product FAQ Generator (the “App”), a Shopify application that helps merchants generate, edit, and manage product FAQs.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you install or use the App.
Our approach
Product data in, useful FAQs out.
We use merchant and product information to provide the App. We do not sell personal information or use merchant or product data for advertising.
Information we collect
When you install or use the App, we may collect:
Store access
Shopify store domain, shop identifier, and Shopify authentication and session information.
Product & FAQ data
Product title, description, product type, tags, product ID, and FAQs created, edited, imported, or exported through the App.
Settings & usage
FAQ count, writing tone, auto-save preferences, and usage information such as the number of FAQ generations used.
Customer data is not intentionally collected. The App does not intentionally collect customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, payment information, or order information.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate your Shopify store
- Display your products inside the App
- Generate product-specific FAQs
- Save and retrieve FAQs from Shopify product metafields
- Apply your App settings
- Track usage limits
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the App
- Respond to support requests
AI processing
To generate FAQs, the App sends relevant product information, such as the product title, description, type, and tags, to our configured AI service provider, currently Google Gemini, operated by Google.
The AI provider processes this information only to return generated FAQ content requested through the App. You should review the AI provider’s privacy terms and confirm that your use of the App complies with your legal and business requirements.
No intentional customer data transfer. We do not intentionally send Shopify customer data to the AI provider.
Shopify data & metafields
Generated FAQs are stored in your Shopify store as product metafields under:
App settings and usage information may also be stored in Shopify shop metafields.
Retention & security
Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App and maintain usage records. When you uninstall the App, we will delete or anonymize information under our control within [number] days, except where retention is required by law, needed to resolve disputes, or necessary for security and fraud prevention.
Data in Shopify
Data stored directly in your Shopify store, including product metafields, remains subject to Shopify’s systems and policies. You can remove generated FAQs through the App or directly through Shopify.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. Data transmitted between the App, Shopify, and service providers is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party services
The App relies on the following third-party services:
- Shopify, for store access and product data
- Google Gemini, for AI-generated FAQ content
- [Hosting provider], for hosting and infrastructure
- [Analytics provider, if applicable]
These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services and according to their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Request access to information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of information

- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Submit a privacy complaint to a data protection authority

Children’s privacy
The App is intended for Shopify merchants and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
